Introducing Lakeside's NEW Youth Art Trail
Have you been enjoying all the amazing art around town? We've put together a special Lakeside Youth Art Trail venturing over the bridge to Wharf Street Forster. Celebrating the amazing talents of our local students.
Lakeside Festival Inc. is partnering with Great Lakes College Forster, Tuncurry campuses and Wharf Street Forster for an exciting NEW exhibition showcasing #YouthART by local students. Supported by MidCoast Council, this art event is dedicated to the ever-growing youth artists in the Barrington Coast.
EXHIBITION TRAIL DATES The Youth Art Trail will commence on Saturday 19th October and end on Sunday 3rd November with the People’s Choice Prizes announced at 2.00pm at Tartt Cafe. Winning artworks will then be displayed for a further week at Stockland Forster.
IT’S FREE!! Student artworks of various, exciting mediums will be displayed in participating Wharf Street shops for 2 weeks in the lead up to the 7th annual Lakeside Music Festival and Create & Grow Market on the 2nd of November. Enjoy a FREE Self-Tour of the exhibition by following the Youth Art Trail map, (available SOON at participating shops and on Lakeside Festival website and social media.)
VOTE FOR PEOPLE CHOICE Students will have an opportunity to not only bring their talents out into the community but will also be in the running for some awesome prizes. Simply vote for your favourite artwork in the “People’s Choice prize” on the back of the trail map.
Can’t get enough our local talent? Lakeside Festival is also featuring the “Mountains to the Sea” Art Exhibition and Sale at the Lake St Gallery Forster. A partnership with Great Lakes Art Society and Lakeside Festival this is a member’s exhibition and sale with a beautiful theme to match our beautiful region. Open 10am to 4pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 25th October to 10th November.
