'Mountain's to the Sea'
Art Exhibition & Sale

The 4th Lakeside Art Exhibition is moving to a new home in FORSTER. Partnering with the Great Lakes Art Society, this outstanding exhibition and art sale will be held at the newly renovated Lake Street Gallery Forster.

 

The exhibition theme for 2019 is "From the MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA" Presented by the Great Lakes Art Society and Lakeside Festival.
Artworks will be on display and for sale, created by local artists.

Public Admission : Free

When 
October 25th to November 10th 2019. 
Open from 10am to 4pm Friday's Saturday's and Sunday's only.

About Great Lakes Art Society

The Great Lakes Art Society Incorporated (GLAS) and Lake Street Gallery (GLAS) Encourages and promotes amateur artistic endeavors and the cultivation of art in all mediums and provide a means of social discourse between artists, art lovers and patrons.

GLAS has been holding exhibitions of the highest possible standard for public viewing and sale for 32 years in Forster / Tuncurry and has been working to raise the standard of art by arranging suitable tutorials, drawing and film nights and lectures by competent teaching artists.

 

Invitations to exhibit at LFEST19, and to visit the exhibition are extended to Disability and Ageing support networks, Aged Care facilities and Networking Social Groups from the Barrington Coast region and beyond.

Youth Art Trail

Lakeside Festival is partnering with Great Lakes College Forster, Tuncurry campuses & Wharf Street Forster for an exciting NEW exhibition showcasing Youth ART by local students. Supported by MidCoast Council, this art event is dedicated to the ever growing youth artists in the Midcoast.

 

Held over two huge weeks in the lead up to the 7th annual Lakeside #Music Festival and Create & Grow #Market on November 2. Follow the trail map to discover a variety of local youth artists, as they exhibit at in participating stores along Wharf Street, Forster.

Vote 

Vote for your favourite artwork in the “People’s Choice prize.”

Students will have an opportunity to not only bring their talents out into the community but will be in the running for some of the prizes.

 

The Youth Art Trail will commence on Saturday 19th October and end on Sunday 3rd November with the People’s Choice Prizes announced at 2.00pm at Tartt Cafe. Winning artwork and runner ups will then be displayed for a further week at Stockland Forster.
